“Left at East Gate”
By: Larry Warren and Peter Robbins

Before reading this book I thought I had a fair idea of what the Rendlesham Forest case was about. After reading this book I realized there was a lot I didn’t know about the events that occurred during those three nights in December of 1980. Larry Warren and Peter Robbins did an excellent job in presenting the straight forward information about Larry’s experiences. When you read this book you can almost feel what Larry went through. You get the sense that you are right there with him and Peter when they visited the Rendlesham Forest area together for the first time. There is a transcript of tape recordings of what they were saying to each other that night while witnessing dramatic UFO sightings. Again this draws you in and makes you feel as if you are right there with them.
They took great pains to research, document, and record everything they could to make this book and the accounts contained in it as thorough and accurate as possible. They share the vast amounts of witness testimonies that they gathered and their own experiences when re-visiting Rendlesham. Also presented are the testimonies from interviews of former base personnel they conducted and more. I think one of the things that make this book as good as it is was the fact that it took nine years to put together and complete yet, they convey what they went through during the entire process. They share the range of emotions and all the personal aspects of how getting this story to print affected them.
Larry Warren’s story is one of courage and, one of sadness because of how the things he experienced affected him and changed his life forever. This man was serving in the United States military and should be thanked for his service to this country. Instead he was lied to, threatened, assaulted, and discredited by people who use “national security” as an excuse to operate above the laws of our country.
On a side note, I would like to extend my personal thanks to Larry Warren and Peter Robbins for persevering and getting this story to print. The accounts contained in this book are amazing and the story is riveting. The updated version of the book contains further reflection and details about the case from the authors. I highly recommend this book!

"The Phoenix Lights"
By: Lynne Kitei, M.D.

If you have any interest at all in the event that came to be known as “the Phoenix Lights” then this book is an excellent source of information. I must say I was floored by the amount of in-depth research that Dr. Kitei did after seeing, photographing, and filming the “lights” herself. She gives an excellent chronology of events that occurred during the time of this mass sighting. She also must have a massive phone bill because she tracked down and got in touch with as many “official” people as she could. She spoke with military representatives from several Air Bases around the U.S., well known ufologists, researchers, scientists, and film analysis experts.
She spoke with many other witnesses to the events and shares some of their testimonies as well as discussing her own sightings and how they affected her perception of the subject of UFO’s and the possibility of extraterrestrial visitors. She documented quite thoroughly all the times when, what she was told by the military contradicted what other witnesses said or, even contradicted previous comments made by the military itself. From her digging to seek answers from “official sources” she has been able to document very clearly the fact that the military and other government sources do lie to the public regarding the UFO topic.
In the last few chapters of the book she talks about how these sightings have affected her and others in what you can only describe as “spiritual” ways. She did some research into some of the similarities between the affects of extraterrestrial and UFO encounters on people and the affects on people of paranormal subjects such as NDE’s (near death experiences) and, OBE’s (out of body experiences). This aspect of what she writes may not be your cup of tea but what you do gather from the last few chapters of the book is the fact that clearly, such events change a person’s perception of themselves and the world around them forever.
There is included in one of the appendixes in the book a section of impressive quotes from others about the UFO subject, many from well know people and, I felt that this was a nice touch to add to the book. It demonstrates how the UFO phenomena has touched people from all walks of life, including some very famous people.
The amount of research that she did to put this book together is quite amazing. I personally feel that Dr. Kitei did an excellent job in putting the information she gathered into book form for others to read. I would recommend this book to anyone.

“Witnessed”
By: Bud Hopkins

Anyone with even a passing interest in UFO’s will be familiar with Bud Hopkins. He is the author of “Missing Time” and “Intruders”. In this book he tells the story of the Brooklyn Bridge abduction case.

A lady named Linda Cortile was abducted from her 12th floor apartment window and floated with three aliens to a waiting UFO. What makes this story noteworthy is the fact the abduction was witnessed by three other women located at different parts of the city, six bodyguards connected with the U.N., two U.S. officials and “the third man” who turns out is World Leader of considerable importance.

Mr. Hopkins has done his research very well.  This abduction account covers what the aliens look like, their craft, alien language, multigenerational abductions, the way aliens seem to be able to control humans and some possibilities of why they are here and what they are doing.

Mr. Hopkins seems to come to the conclusion that this was a “staged” abduction. It also seems to have been a multiple abduction experience. The only problem I had was the seemingly uncontrollable emotions Ms. Cortile seemed to bring out in the witnesses. But, perhaps, as Mr. Hopkins points out, the aliens may have been manipulating the human emotions to further their agenda.

This book is a GOOD READ.

“Taken”
By: Thomas Cook

I picked up this book because I have always found that the book is more informative and interesting then the movies, or in this case the miniseries. For every rule there is an exception, this is one. The book is a printout of the series without the visual entertainment. If I didn’t know better I would think someone was out for a fast buck.
If you have trouble sleeping this book will work better and faster then a glass of hot milk.
“Everything You Know Is Wrong”
By: Lloyd Pye

The theme of this book is not UFO’s or abductions but rather the truth of human origins; however anyone interested in ufology should read what Mr. Pye has to say.

The first part of the book deals with “big foot” called by its many names. And he makes an argument for the existence of this creature that can not be argued.   He also explores the existence of planet Nibiru.
Were the Sumerians visited and indeed seeded by aliens from the planet Nibiru? After reading his account of his research into these hypotheses you may well find yourself a believer.  If not, you will certainly have pause to consider the possibility.  This book should be a must read for anyone who is serious wondering about the reasons for UFOs and abductions.

A MUST READ.

“The Cosmic Bridge – Close Encounters and Human Destiny”
By: Craig R. Lang

This book is a refreshing change from the typical fare of material written about the abduction and contact topics. The book does contain material that might be considered, “Abduction 101” information but, Mr. Lang covers this information with the same open mindedness as the rest of the book. Those newly interested in the alien experiencer topic will find this book a very good read.
Craig does a good job of looking objectively at this phenomenon. He makes no snap judgments on the data he has collected from experiencers but, thoroughly analyses the information to draw honest and well informed conclusions. Some researchers into this phenomenon focus on only one or, just a few aspects of what abductees and contactees are experiencing. This is definitely not the case here. Having spoken with many experiencers myself, it was interesting to see an outside researcher reaching many of the same conclusions that experiencers themselves had reached about this phenomenon.
Some of what I read in this book reminded me of the late Dr. John Mack’s thoughts on his research into the abduction and contact phenomenon. Experiencers will find this book enjoyable and will wonder why there aren’t more researchers who are trying to see the “big picture” in an unbiased way as Craig Lang has.
I highly recommend this book!
